Doing the laundry

May 19th, 2011 posted by admin

Doing one’s laundry for a man is one horrendous task. No survey or study group is needed to establish this fact. Time memorable has been proof to this fact and that it is god given or nature’s boon or bane, as the case maybe, is established from the fact that right from a boy’s room to a man’s, one would get to see the same dishevelled state of his laundry. The belief that has not yet proved to be right is that little fairies do the laundry and boys and men alike wait for that appearance someday to do it up.

If however the reality does dawn upon a boy or man that fairies indeed do not exists and especially the ones that do up the laundry, then a few planning steps would help in easing the work load that the cloth load creates upon the man and machine. However much a man would prefer to play klonkdike solitaire than do laundry, what has to be done - has to be done!

The first point that needs to be established is that clothes do not have legs especially when they have been shed from a man’s self. It therefore goes on to mean that clothes have to be picked by hand and collected at one place ready to be laundered. While the collection is an easy part, what requires concentration is separating out the wash as per level of obstinacy of the stain that has been pasted on the cloth. A man needs to also remember that stains do not have legs of their own. Rather the cloth has legs usually of the self which makes the cloth walk towards the stain rather than the other way round as most men try to think.

Once this quite mentally taxing job has been finished, rather than just plopping the individual piles into the wash machine one after other, it is better to check the pockets for leftovers. Men have the habit of leaving stuff. One would be able to see it in daily life too. Anything and everything holds their interest for just a few time spans and then the item is left over.

When these checks have been carried out the washing machine also churns out a better wash result.
