Yes, as bizarre as the headline sounds, it’s not joke, it turns out that teenage boy all over America are doing this thing called boofing, butt-chugging or vodka-tamponing. As we all know it is only a matter of time before this crazy trend hits our shore, so to be forwarded is to be prepared.

Basically this trend is a way to get completely drunk as a sunk in literally no time at all. Your average tampon holds around 3 ounces of fluid, so that may not sound like a lot of alcohol, but when you consider where it is being inserted, it is big deal. Yes the vodka soaked tampons are being inserted into their rectums. Of course if girls catch on they do have two options and both will have the same effect.

Why is this extremely dangerous? Because when you drink alcohol normally it has to go through your liver before its hits your bloodstream. But when it is absorbed by either the rectum or vagina the rate at which the body absorbs it is much faster, which is why these kids are getting drunk as skunks in no time at all.

The liver does an important job when consuming alcohol; it filters it, therefore it reduces the chance of toxicity and the chance of alcohol poisoning, which cannot be said when it is absorbed by either of the fore mentioned areas. Both the rectum and vagina allow the alcohol to be absorbed directly into the bloodstream and thus increases the risk of alcohol poisoning.

The question here is not how to insert an applicator tampon correctly, it is simply a fact or statement that tampons are for feminine hygiene purposes and not to be used for any other so called recreational activities, no matter how much of a good idea they may seem to be.

Every day persons across the country are involved in road traffic accidents and with more and more vehicles on the roads these days chances are the number of injuries and damages will increase. Recently a friend of mine was involved in a road accident and suffered some minor injuries. She sought some information on what her rights were regarding possible compensation. Here is a bit of what she found out.

When you are involved in a road traffic accident keep in mind that to get any form of road traffic accident compensation your claim will be judged based on what is called %u201Cthe standard of reasonable care.%u201D So should the road user be deemed to not have employed some degree of reasonable care and this resulted in you being afflicted with some form of personal injury, it will be possible to move forward with a claim for compensation. Where you were somewhat responsible for the accident, you may be able to still pursue compensation.

Normally most compensation claims for road traffic accident are settled within a year from the date the claim was submitted. Keep in mind, however, that where you suffer more serious injuries or where the claim you make is much more complicated, then the compensation will likely take a lot longer.

It is advised that for compensation claims that are complicated you should seek the services of a lawyer who is an expert in the area. Your lawyer will be able to advise you on the amounts you can or should claim. Where your injuries are serious and are likely to affect your potential future earnings whatever compensation you recover will have an impact on your quality of life and future independence.

When involved in a road traffic accident always (if you are able) get the details of the other person or persons involved in the accident.

You might meet someone who loves the Bourne films as much as me, but it’s unlikely. For the following reasons: I have seen them more times than most people, I love them more than most people and this is quantified by the fact that I know every line of every film, and…well, we could be here all day, really.

Now, much as I love the Jason Bourne adventures – I’d say that Identity is my favourite, which is the first one, but you knew that, right? – I wouldn’t want them to be remade any time in the future. And just as I wouldn’t want that, I really can’t see the point in new films, with or without Matt Damon. The films were designed to work as a trilogy, and that’s the way it ought to stay. Yes there are more Bourne books, but books and movies are very different entities. You don’t want to get confused between the two, my friend!

If you’ve been paying attention to the movie-news-world in recent months then you will have heard that the people who made the original Bourne films are going to make MORE Bourne films. Yes, you heard right…only don’t be expecting Damon to reprise his role as the amnesiac secret agent. He and Paul Greengrass – who directed the last 2 – have both said they want nothing to do with the new series which will feature Jeremy Renner as Jason Bourne.

One thing I should probably say at this point is that I loved Jeremy Renner in The Town – Ben Affleck’s hard-hitting tale of grimy bank robberies and close friendships. Does that mean I think he should step up to this role? No. Even if he does it really well, he’ll never be able to take the place of Matt Damon, in my opinion.

Of course, just as Ian from it support services london said to me over the phone yesterday afternoon, it may be that he reinvents the series and makes it all his own. It may be that he stamps his mark on the series and makes us all think twice.

Only time will tell if this idea turns out to be a total disaster or a genius move on the part of the producers. My hope is that however it turns out it is different enough that it separates itself from the first 3 films. If it does that then at least there’s a clean slate to work with and the possibility of something bold and new and fresh.

For some reason, in this time of anything-is-possible film-making, films which test the borders of where one genre ends and another begins are few and far between. Why is this? Well, it’s likely thanks to the same thread that has forever run through the industry: don’t stray too far from the path, because when it comes down to it, making films is largely about the money.

Which is why this film – starring Ryan Gosling and Michelle Williams as they discover one another intimately before our eyes, in a relationship that spans its infancy to its eventual estrangement – is so noteworthy. In a sea of action-thrillers and romantic comedies, BV doesn’t try to fit any one genre. Instead, it is part gritty drama, and part low-fi thriller. All this is wrapped up in a decidedly uncommon package which is filmed invisibly, so that all the time we feel like a bystander who’s been granted permission to witness all the events from the outset.

And don’t be fooled: yes, this is a film about the blurry line between domestic abuse and deep, meaningful love, but it is a film worth watching. Depressing as some parts might be, it remains an ultimately tender and surprising piece that will live on well into the future.

(More importantly, it was the perfect change of scene I needed yesterday evening when my computer ended up freezing on www.discountdisplays-express.co.uk. It might be a distraction which requires guts to sit through, but you’ll be rewarded with a number of questions which are both poignant and heart-breaking.)

I can’t decide if the movie and the video game should team up together and take on the world or not. On the one side I think this:

Avatar was amazing. I loved the depth they created, and the stunning way they made it seem both real and also magical, like in a game.

I loved Beowulf and the motion-capture photography – that film set a precedent as far as I am concerned.

Combining the two enables so much more freedom which conventional movies can’t possibly create.

But there again my old-fashioned mind says this:

There’s a reason why Arbolago Homes for Sale are just that – just homes. They have what they have and that’s what you expect. The same with movies. When I watch a movie I expect to see acting and the like – too many effects ruin the whole thing.

Like I said, acting is paramount: the effects mean that sometimes the facial expressions get lost, which can really ruin a film.

Video games have their place, as do movies. Combining the two is a mistake that will eventually take movies in the wrong direction.

But there again, we’re only at the beginning of this partnership, aren’t we? So perhaps it’d be wrong to speculate now on what might happen in the next ten years or more? And if we stopped now we’d never get to see what potential there is, would we? In fact, movie making progress might actually regress until we all start watching black and white films again…that’d definitely be a mistake if you ask me.

Doing one’s laundry for a man is one horrendous task. No survey or study group is needed to establish this fact. Time memorable has been proof to this fact and that it is god given or nature’s boon or bane, as the case maybe, is established from the fact that right from a boy’s room to a man’s, one would get to see the same dishevelled state of his laundry. The belief that has not yet proved to be right is that little fairies do the laundry and boys and men alike wait for that appearance someday to do it up.

If however the reality does dawn upon a boy or man that fairies indeed do not exists and especially the ones that do up the laundry, then a few planning steps would help in easing the work load that the cloth load creates upon the man and machine. However much a man would prefer to play klonkdike solitaire than do laundry, what has to be done - has to be done!

The first point that needs to be established is that clothes do not have legs especially when they have been shed from a man’s self. It therefore goes on to mean that clothes have to be picked by hand and collected at one place ready to be laundered. While the collection is an easy part, what requires concentration is separating out the wash as per level of obstinacy of the stain that has been pasted on the cloth. A man needs to also remember that stains do not have legs of their own. Rather the cloth has legs usually of the self which makes the cloth walk towards the stain rather than the other way round as most men try to think.

Once this quite mentally taxing job has been finished, rather than just plopping the individual piles into the wash machine one after other, it is better to check the pockets for leftovers. Men have the habit of leaving stuff. One would be able to see it in daily life too. Anything and everything holds their interest for just a few time spans and then the item is left over.

When these checks have been carried out the washing machine also churns out a better wash result.

2) Jurassic Park 3.

4) Being mugged.

5) Broken 3D glasses.

6) Party’s where you don’t know anyone but there is free alcohol.

7) Being scared by your own shadow.

 Full-Moon eclipses obscured by clouds.

9) Fancy dress party’s, even though I’ve always despised them.

10) The howling screaming sounds that cats make at night when you’re desperately trying to get to sleep.

10) Any other Natalie Portman film. Even the terrible revamped Star Wars…

Why are all these things more fun? Even having all your hair vaporized out at laser hair removal manchester ? Easy: because Thor is an awful film, supported by a team of stunning actors and incredible special effects. This is what makes it such a legendary let-down of a movie. Like the kid at school who prefers to waste all his potential rather than use it to win the Nobel Prize, Thor is a rarity: a film of stunning prowess which will have you hating Hollywood forever.

It’s a real shame. I went into Thor with an open mind. These kind of renaissance futuristic-mixed-with-Greek-fables aren’t my usual cup of tea, but that said I had to see for myself. Sadly, the only thing I did see was a powerful reminder of what brought me to my original conclusion. A conclusion that I’m afraid is going to stick around a lot longer than I’d hoped.

Hmmm. Creepo likes Clint Eastwood, especially when he’s kicking ass!!!

Now ‘Gran Torino’may not sound like my sort of thing, but the fact of the matter is that I really, really enjoyed it. Put it this way; it’s about the nearest that Clint could get to starring in another Dirty Harry movie without making a total plum of himself in the process! On its release in 2008, Mr Eastwood was 77 years old and no longer up to the high octane sequences of ‘Magnum Force’or ‘The Dead Pool’. However, this did not stop him from sorting out a bunch of scumbags in his neighbourhood…

‘Gran Torino’plays a bit like ‘One Foot in the Grave’meets ‘Rocky’(yes, really!). It’s the story of a grizzled old war veteran (Meldrew-esqe?) who is seriously fed-up with all of the aggro being caused by a local gang. However, that is where the ‘Rocky’part of the comparison ends. Clint (unlike Sly) did not amble out of retirement to make a complete and utter fool of himself on film! And that’s a pretty rare thing with aging movie stars… Normally they have to be ‘prepared’at gyms and laser hair removal clinics before getting ‘Paintshopped’so’s they look half-decent in front of the camera!

But Clint keeps it real throughout the whole picture. Sure, he does kick ass a few times, but he also has to stop and get his breath back afterwards! ‘Gran Torino’also has a lot to say on a social level and it leaves you feeling quite humbled by the time that it’s all over.

Nice one Clint! And if that’s your acting swansong, then what a way to exit the stage!!!

The fact that the vampire can live forever was good for literature for a few hundred years: it meant intriguing stories, inspirational romance and disturbing tales of dark and light forces colliding with terrifying results that felt really…well, real. But looking at what’s on offer at the Amazon Kindle store, you can’t help but think that it would have been better if vampires didn’t live forever after all…browse the virtual book shelves and you will soon discover that there are literally thousands of vampire books out there. The problem isn’t the quantity, it’s the outrageously bad quality of some of them. This presents an enormous barrier when looking for vampire books (which I don’t often do, for reasons just stated…). Sadly, it means that anyone who has written a good and original vampire book is going to struggle massively with getting people to read it without judgement first.

Of course, vampires aren’t the only thing which the Kindle is inundated with. There are also teen novels that just wouldn’t cut the mustard with a publisher, badly designed picture books with badly formatted pictures, and numerous other horrors (such as one book I saw about a man who deals with Botox Prices and what happens when the prices actually come to life and haunt him…). Much as I love the Kindle, I wish there was a way to separate those self-published titles from the others. I have nothing against anyone who wants to self-publish, but I might in a few years if the vampire genre keeps growing at the same despicable rate!
